Luc Boudreau, MA | Advanced Training | 20 Years of Practical Experience

You’re likely here because something feels off, like you’re spinning your wheels despite your success, or struggling quietly with emotions that don’t quite make sense. Maybe you’re feeling disconnected in your relationships, stuck in patterns that don’t serve you, or burdened by an internal critic that just won’t quit. If that’s where you are, you’re not alone, and I’m here to help.

I’m Luc Boudreau, founder of Clutch Psychotherapy. I specialize in helping adults who struggle with the effects of trauma and adverse childhood experiences. These effects include anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, issues around confidence, and self-esteem. With over 20 years of experience, I create a space where you can drop the performance and dig into what’s actually driving your stress, anger, shame, or self-doubt.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. You just need to be willing to start.

Professional background

My clinical approach is integrative, grounded in both neuroscience and psychology, and rooted in trauma-informed care. I’ve worked across a wide range of settings in Canada and the U.S.—from inpatient and outpatient clinics to college counseling services, crisis support lines, and executive rehab facilities. These experiences have taught me that healing is rarely linear, but it is always possible.

I’m trained in a broad spectrum of therapeutic modalities, including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), ACT, CBT, DBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Exposure Response Prevention, Gottman Method, Psychodynamic therapy, and somatic approaches. This means I tailor therapy to fit your needs, whether that’s resolving deep-seated trauma, building emotional resilience, or improving your relationships.

Before becoming a psychotherapist, I held executive leadership roles as an occupational therapist across various medical settings.  This experience provides me with a unique perspective on work stress, burnout, and navigating complex professional roles, especially for clients in business, healthcare, academia, and leadership.

I’m bilingual in English and French, LGBTQ+ affirming, and offer both in-person sessions in Hillsboro, Oregon, and virtual therapy for clients in Oregon and Washington State.

Therapy tailored to your needs

Therapy with me is direct, collaborative, and designed to meet you where you are. You won’t be met with clichés or overly clinical detachment. Instead, I offer a down-to-earth, focused space where you can explore what’s happening beneath the surface—and where you want to go next.

Whether you’re navigating the aftermath of trauma, the quiet erosion of relationship dissatisfaction, or the pressures of trying to “do it all,” I help you connect the dots between your experiences, your patterns, and your goals. Together, we’ll uncover what’s driving your symptoms and create a path toward more clarity, emotional strength, and real change.

I also offer support to couples seeking to rebuild trust, deepen their connection, or navigate stuck dynamics using evidence-based approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method.
